The Power of Our Mixed-Age Classrooms
Welcome to Our Head Start & Early Head Start Programs
At Little Miracles Early Development Center, we are proud to offer comprehensive Head Start and Early Head Start programs designed to nurture the whole child, support working families, and build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
Early Head Start (Infants & Toddlers)
Our Early Head Start program provides a warm, responsive environment for our youngest learners. We focus on early brain development, healthy attachment, sensory exploration, and foundational language skills, ensuring infants and toddlers feel safe, valued, and encouraged as they reach their first major developmental milestones.
Head Start (Preschool & Pre-K)
Our Head Start program prepares 3- to 5-year-olds for kindergarten and beyond. Grounded in research-backed early childhood standards, we emphasize early literacy, hands-on math concepts, problem-solving, and essential social-emotional skills. Children build independence and confidence while engaging in active, discovery-based play.
The Power of Our Mixed-Age Classrooms
What sets our learning environment apart is our intentional mixed-age group classroom design. By bringing children of varied ages together, we create a family-style community that closely mirrors real-world learning.
Peer Mentorship & Leadership: Older children strengthen their self-confidence and master concepts by helping and guiding younger classmates, while younger children naturally learn advanced communication and problem-solving skills by watching their older peers.
Continuous, Stable Relationships: Children remain with the same primary teaching team and peer group for longer periods, reducing transition anxiety and allowing educators to deeply understand each child's unique learning pace.
Individualized Growth: Rather than fitting every child into a rigid single-age mold, mixed-age environments allow children to progress at their own individual developmental speed—whether they need extra support or advanced academic challenges.
Enhanced Social-Emotional Skills: Multi-age settings foster higher levels of empathy, patience, cooperation, and sharing, helping young learners develop strong social bonds.
